Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care and services to a group of hospice patients, visiting them in their homes, assisted living facilities, or hospitals. As a RN, you'll complete hospice admissions and patient visits as needed, utilizing your clinical and communication skills. You'll also be responsible for answering calls from patients, families, and customers, and making nursing visits for symptom management, deaths, and admissions as needed.

This is an after-hours on-call position, working seven days/nights on and seven nights/days off. If you're passionate about hospice care and have great clinical and communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements
  • Current RN Licensure - Hold a valid RN license in the state(s) of practice with at least one year of experience under license
  • Admissions and On-Call Experience - Preferably have experience in admissions and on-call roles
  • Teamwork and Communication - Work effectively within a team environment to collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and CNA leadership
  • Independence and Time Management - Manage visits, documentation, meetings, and phone calls independently, prioritizing and triaging multiple concerns
  • Electronic Medical Records - Be able to learn and utilize an electronic medical records system
  • Reliable Transportation - Have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation to travel across the service area
