About the Role

As a Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Transactions, you will play a key role in supporting the business of TD SYNNEX by leading the regional Transaction team. You will manage legal issues related to trade practices in IT distribution with minimal supervision. Your expertise will be sought by management to counsel and advise on legal problems in the transactional law area. You will work closely with local management teams to provide guidance and training in this matter. Additionally, you will manage a team of individual negotiators, participate in or conduct negotiations and transactions on behalf of TD SYNNEX, and assist in the defense of the organization in legal action. You will also support legal compliance activities focused on the mentioned area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of policies and implementing initiatives within the Country organization, focusing on contract/transactional law.
  • Provide legal advice on TD SYNNEX's business within the country, utilizing sound legal and business judgment and experience in contract/transactional law.
  • Collaborate with local management teams, global legal services teams, and outside legal counsel on various matters.
  • Communicate and interact regularly with business clients and global legal services teams to deliver high-value added legal services.
  • Set work priorities, productivity goals, and provide strong customer service focus.
  • Supervise and advise direct reports on their daily operational work.
  • Provide training on contract/transactional matters for internal clients.
  • Assist with the preparation or review of proposed contracts and other legal instruments to safeguard the organization's interests.

  • Qualified legal degree from certified educational institution required.
  • Qualified and admitted to the practice of law in the Country.
  • Minimum of 3+ years in the practice of commercial/corporate law required or in-house experience in transactional work.
  • Preference for in-house experience.
  • Able to conduct in-depth research into applicable laws and judicial decisions and make appropriate recommendations of actions to take.
  • 3 to 5 years of direct supervisory/management experience.
