- Provide Direct Instruction and Support: Offer direct instruction and support to students in various settings, including classrooms and individualized learning environments.
- Adapt Curriculum and Materials: Modify curriculum and materials to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring they have equal access to learning opportunities.
- Collaborate with Educators and Support Staff: Work closely with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning experience for students with visual impairments.
- Utilize Assistive Technologies: Leverage assistive technologies to enhance learning for visually impaired students, promoting independence and accessibility.
- Education and Certification: Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education with a focus on Visual Impairments and possess teaching certification for Visual Impairments in the state.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Braille is preferred, but not required.
