Case Management Specialist for Children

We are seeking a skilled Child Case Manager to join our team at Southeast Kansas Mental Health Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing community-based interventions, solution-focused and goal-directed, as determined by the individualized treatment plan. This includes working with consumers, families, and natural supports to identify strategies and treatment options associated with their mental illness. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents.
- Collaborate with families and natural supports to identify strengths and needs.
- Provide community-based interventions, solution-focused and goal-directed.
- Coordinate consumer's treatment needs via phone and written correspondence, as well as face-to-face contacts with other social service agencies, schools, housing, and employment resources, and medical services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or four years of equivalent education and/or experience working in the human services field.
- Possess excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Respectful, supportive, and empathic ability to understand and work with mentally ill individuals.
- Team player with supportive working relationships with coworkers and community partners.
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package is also offered, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
