**Job Summary**

As a Security Officer at Navicent Health, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and team members. This is a full-time position working nights, 6pm-6am, and requires a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of security and customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent and respond to security incidents
  • Provide assistance to patients, visitors, and team members as needed
  • Document observations, hazards, and incidents for follow-up corrective action
  • Assist with traffic and parking patrol
  • Take immediate corrective action against hazards and conditions that may cause injury or damage
  • Report any actions needed or taken to upper management
  • Assist with proactive loss prevention programs

**Requirements**

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Valid NC or SC driver's license required
  • Previous security, military, law enforcement experience or related field preferred
  • Must pass an Atrium mandated, psychological evaluation prior to and during employment
  • Must successfully complete Atrium Health minimum standards for unarmed security officers, including background investigation, physical ability, and psychological testing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Unarmed Guard license as required by the NC Private Protective Services Board
  • Must obtain IAHSS Basic Certification within 1 year of hire

**Physical Requirements**

  • May have to run or exert intense physical effort in moving or restraining others
  • Must have close and intermediate visual acuity
  • Must be able to hear and verbally communicate with others
  • Walks/stands for extended periods of time, both inside and outside in a fast-paced environment
  • May be exposed to unfavorable weather conditions
