Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Education Program Manager to join our team at Alphatec Spine. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Medical Education program, including planning, developing, and executing strategies to drive and support ATEC's internal and external educational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior leadership to define the goals and priorities of ATEC's Medical Education programs.
  • Develop program promotional materials, such as web-based tools and advertisements, program and/or event-specific brochures, and other collateral.
  • Define the requirements and processes for training event requisition, interdepartmental review, and approvals.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including sourcing, negotiating preferred pricing, and maintaining high-level service.
  • Oversee the coordination and communication of event travel logistics, per corporate policy guidelines.
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to understand event objectives and direct the Medical Education team to develop event agendas that meet event objectives.
  • Ensure that lab logistics are considered and planned for, including notification of lab personnel, specimen ordering, equipment availability, etc.
  • Act as the Host of events, managing the Medical Education team and other participants toward smooth agenda flow and execution.
  • Manage department finances, including budgeting, expense reporting, ensuring timely Faculty and vendor payments, and program analytics.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of common computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, and Internet applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow to meet established timeframes.
  • Ability to work within a cross-functional team and matrix management structure.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to represent the company at a variety of business functions or situations in a professional and competent manner.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to company-sponsored events.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines.
  • Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of procedures, products, and activities of assigned area.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends.

Education and Experience:

A completed BS/BA degree or equivalent, educational event planning experience required, medical device-specific experience preferred.

For roles based in the United States that require access to hospital facilities, must be eligible for and maintain credentials at all required hospitals, including meeting any applicable physical requirements or vaccination requirements.

Salary Range: $115,000 to $135,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
