Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team at the Department of Energy. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development of goals, objectives, and strategic plans for assigned facilities, buildings, grounds, utilities, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop contract specifications and review contractor-performed work related to design, engineering, operation, maintenance, construction, and repair of assigned facilities, buildings, grounds, utilities, and equipment.
  • Lead the development of goals, objectives, and strategic plans, which define the long-term emphasis and focus of the program.
  • Evaluate contractor performance and overall program effectiveness in terms of mission accomplishment, schedule and budget, quality, quantity, and environment, safety, and health standards, procedural, policy, and regulatory compliance, and technical competence.
  • Direct studies, surveillances, assessments, and validations to identify trends and develop forecasts of directions in the program within and outside the agency.
Requirements
  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 in the Federal service.
  • Experience must include monitoring contractor performance, determining program needs and managing resources, overseeing budget and schedule execution.
