About the Job

PennState Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join their team as an Inpatient Float Manager. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced RN with strong leadership skills to lead our Inpatient Float Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve exceptional patient outcomes through effective assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and optimal patient flow
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting professional growth and development
Requirements
  • CURRENTLY LICENSED TO PRACTICE AS A REGISTERED NURSE BY STATE OF EMPLOYMENT OR HOLDS A MULTISTATE RN LICENSE THROUGH THE INTERSTATE NURSE LICENSURE COMPACT
  • AHA BLS PRIOR TO END OF ORIENTATION PERIOD
Preferred Qualifications
  • MINIMUM ONE (1) YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN CRITICAL CARE, EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT, AND/OR WOMEN'S AND BABIES PREFERRED
