Job Summary

Denver Health is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in the Neonatology Division. As an Advanced Care Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Well Baby Nursery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to infants in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery, including follow-up planning and coordination.
  • Participate in night call and respond to emergencies, including resuscitations and care of patients in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery.
  • Assist residents with procedures and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Teach medical students, physician assistant students, and nursing students, as well as pediatric and family medicine residents, in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and contribute to programmatic initiatives in the NICU and Nursery.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA)
  • Highly experienced in newborn resuscitation, placement of arterial and venous lines, and chest tubes
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of medical principles and procedures, including pharmacology and therapeutics
