We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our Neonatology Division, you will provide exceptional care to infants in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Well Baby Nursery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to high-risk infants in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery, including follow-up planning and coordination.
- Participate in night call and respond to emergencies, including resuscitations and care of patients in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery.
- Assist residents with procedures and provide guidance on patient care.
- Teach medical students, physician assistant students, and nursing students, as well as pediatric and family medicine residents, in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery.
- Participate in administrative staff meetings and contribute to programmatic initiatives in the NICU and Nursery.
- Master's Degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA)
- Highly experienced in newborn resuscitation, placement of arterial and venous lines, and chest tubes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Competitive hourly rate of $70.43
