Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our Neonatology Division, you will provide exceptional care to infants in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Well Baby Nursery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to high-risk infants in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery, including follow-up planning and coordination.
  • Participate in night call and respond to emergencies, including resuscitations and care of patients in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery.
  • Assist residents with procedures and provide guidance on patient care.
  • Teach medical students, physician assistant students, and nursing students, as well as pediatric and family medicine residents, in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and contribute to programmatic initiatives in the NICU and Nursery.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA)
  • Highly experienced in newborn resuscitation, placement of arterial and venous lines, and chest tubes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
