Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) Job Description at Precise Systems (MD)

The Clinical Nurse Educator plays a vital role in shaping the skills and knowledge of nurses, ensuring they are equipped to provide exceptional patient care. As an RN Nurse Planner for Continuing Nursing Education, this position is responsible for adhering to established criteria, including those set by the Texas Nurses Association and the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Nursing Professional Development: Develop and implement education services to enhance nurses' abilities, focusing on contemporary practice, patient health data collection, analysis, expected outcomes, care planning, intervention implementation, and progress evaluation in pediatric settings.
  • Development and Education Services: Involve in the development and education of unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to support nursing staff.
  • Bedside Nursing Experience: Work as a bedside nurse when applicable, providing hands-on experience and expertise.

Requirements:
  • Effective Communication: Possess highly effective oral and written communication skills, enabling clear exchange of information and ideas.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationship skills, fostering strong working relationships with colleagues and patients.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to make effective group presentations, conveying complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Adult Education Knowledge: Strong knowledge of adult education principles, practices, and procedures, ensuring effective learning experiences.
  • Professional Nursing Knowledge: Possess knowledge of professional nursing principles, practices, concepts, and procedures applied to patient populations served.
  • Computer Software Application: Ability to utilize computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and graphic presentations, preferred for efficient documentation and record-keeping.
  • Bilingualism: Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is preferred, enabling effective communication with diverse patient populations.
  • English Comprehension: Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
Qualifications:
  • Work Experience: Two years of RN experience are required, demonstrating a solid foundation in nursing practice and education.
  • License/Certification: Current RN License to practice in the State of Texas is mandatory.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required, while a Master's degree is preferred, showcasing advanced education and expertise.

Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 per year, based on location and experience, offering a competitive compensation package for qualified candidates.
