Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Production Specialist plays a crucial role in a high-volume industrial setting, ensuring that production, quality, and safety benchmarks are consistently met. After undergoing training, the Specialist will independently interpret and verify shop orders, managing the manufacturing process which may involve operating printing machinery, automated systems, and performing intricate assembly tasks.

Work Schedule:

This position offers a favorable work schedule that alternates between a 5-day and a 4-day workweek. Flexibility to work on designated non-production days may be required for overtime opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately interpret shop travelers, including job orders and customer specifications.
  • Set up and operate various machinery in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Conduct quality evaluations of products, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
  • Document defects and quality data, and escalate issues to appropriate personnel as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of product data on shop orders and within digital systems.
  • Prepare production materials and uphold a clean and safe workspace.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager.
  • Report all incidents and safety concerns immediately.
  • Participate in cross-training for various operations and equipment.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and understanding English instructions, including manufacturing work orders.
  • Basic computer skills for updating records and data entry.
  • Physical capability to lift and move items weighing between 10-50 pounds.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
