We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Advocate to join our team at CompSpec Inc. as a key member of our administrative social service office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interview patients to determine eligibility for third-party programs, including Medi-Cal, CalVCP, WC, TPR, INS, and SSI.
- Secure third-party applications for all potential linked patients and manage a portfolio for third-party eligibility/recovery.
- Work with uninsured populations to link them with government programs and provide assistance with application processes.
- Utilize knowledge of Medi-Cal and third-party programs to effectively communicate with patients and internal staff.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities, ensuring timely completion of deadlines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, internal staff, and external partners.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or some college preferred, with 1-3 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Epic Meditec, with the ability to learn new software and systems.
