Job Summary

As a key member of the healthcare team at Kaiser Permanente, we seek an experienced and compassionate Part Time Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team in San Diego. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the healthcare team by setting an example, delegating tasks effectively, and maintaining accountability.
  • Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process, adhering to established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of quality and excellence, prioritizing patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring clear understanding and seamless collaboration.
  • Mentor and educate staff members on unit-specific operations, patient care activities, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans of care, promoting patient-centered care and effective problem-solving.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and industry developments, applying knowledge to enhance patient care and organizational performance.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated expertise as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an Emergency Department setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading teams and driving results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments, with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $125,000 per year, based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
