Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Psychology to join our faculty at Southern Oregon University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service, with a focus on clinical psychology, clinical neuroscience, and affective neuroscience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research and teaching, with a commitment to providing research experiences for undergraduate students.

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Professor of Psychology will be responsible for teaching a range of courses, including statistics, research methods, and general psychology. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop and maintain a research program, with a focus on clinical psychology, clinical neuroscience, and affective neuroscience. Additionally, the Assistant Professor of Psychology will be responsible for service to the university and the broader community, including participation in departmental and university committees, and engagement in outreach and community service.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a terminal degree (or ABD) in Psychology or a closely related discipline. The successful candidate will also have a strong background in research and teaching, with a commitment to providing research experiences for undergraduate students. Additionally, the Assistant Professor of Psychology will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to contribute to the university's mission of providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants with a strong background in clinical psychology, clinical neuroscience, or affective neuroscience.
