Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Asset Process Owner to join our team at SouthState. As a key member of our technology operations team, you will be responsible for managing the software assets of the organization in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures that support the overall software assets into a single cohesive process and/or program.
  • Ensure that assets/configuration items and associated relationships are accurate and complete by confirming process adherence and data quality against documented standards.
  • Support the asset and configuration management processes, build exception reports, and maintain core data used by the asset & configuration management system.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to the technology operations team that handles the software asset management life cycle.
  • Oversee and perform audits on a regular basis, identifying records with incorrect or outdated information, and coordinating with owners and support teams to remediate data inaccuracies.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to design integrations and consolidate data from hardware discovery and asset repository systems, ensuring the Asset and Configuration Management Database has updated source data.
  • Monitor and maintain a Software Asset Management dashboard with reporting metrics and ensures it aligns to the overall Asset Management reports.
Requirements
  • Advanced understanding of business and its software needs.
  • Financial Management skills to control software costs and budgets.
  • Negotiation skills to deal with software vendors and auditors.
  • Ability to learn and grasp new concepts and business processes quickly.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders, Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize; strong attention to detail; ability to work in a dynamic environment, independently and within teams.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 4+ years of on-the-job experience with managing Assets and/or CMDB - preferably in ServiceNow.
  • 4+ years of Software Asset Management.
  • IAITAM/CSAM certification (preferred).
  • IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools (SSCM, SNOW, Flexera).
  • Experience with configuring and maintaining the Hardware and Software Asset modules in ServiceNow.
Training Requirements
  • Required annual compliance training.
