LPN - Outpatient Float Pool Nurse

Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Outpatient Float Pool Team in the Philadelphia and Chester County Regions. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our outpatient practices.
Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications, perform injections and vaccines, and read PPD results.
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKG) and screening tests.
- Obtain and test specimens, document results, and take appropriate action with unexpected results.
- Assist providers with surgical procedures, including positioning patients, maintaining a sterile field, and wound cleaning and dressing.
- Prepare paperwork to complete patient visits.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs as needed and report abnormal results to providers.
- Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and check equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Maintain medication storage closets.
- Participate in orienting new team members.
- Perform duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
- Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of PA is required.
- BLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association is required.
- H.S. Diploma/GED is required.
- Completion of a Practice Nursing School program is required.
- 1+ years' experience as an LPN in an outpatient setting is preferred.
