Key Responsibilities- Donor Identification and Management: Identify and manage potential donors, ensuring that they receive the highest level of care and support.
- Organ Placement and Allocation: Utilize DonorNet electronic notification to allocate and place organs in accordance with KODA and UNOS policy.
- Family Counseling and Support: Provide emotional support and counseling to donor families, ensuring that they are informed and involved throughout the donation process.
- Public and Professional Education: Develop and implement educational programs to promote organ donation and transplantation awareness within the community.
- Administrative Duties: Manage and maintain accurate records, reports, and databases related to donor identification, organ placement, and family counseling.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or Associate's degree with four years of experience.
- Certification: CTPC certification required within one year of meeting minimum eligibility requirements.
- Experience: Two years of healthcare experience in a critical care setting preferred.
