We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Fort Bend Independent School District. Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to students and staff, including administering medications, wound care, and first aid.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify potential health risks and develop strategies for prevention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including immunization records and medication lists.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in nursing and healthcare.
- Current LVN license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
The Licensed Vocational Nurse will work in a school setting, providing care to students and staff in a variety of settings, including classrooms, offices, and health rooms. The position requires occasional walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting/carrying work-related items weighing less than 40 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
