About the RoleWe are seeking a software engineer with a deep understanding of machine learning techniques and experience in developing software for hardware products in a safety-critical field. The ideal candidate will have expertise in deep learning, experience with Pytorch or Tensorflow, and a strong grasp of linear algebra, optimization, statistics, and algorithms. The role will involve designing integrated machine learning solutions, building software infrastructure, and contributing to state-of-the-art machine learning infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Design integrated machine learning solutions to enable our aircraft to perceive general aviation aircraft, power lines, radio towers, and other challenging obstacles.
- Build software infrastructure to enable learning algorithms to leverage our large-scale fleet data.
- Contribute to state-of-the-art machine learning infrastructure and relevant software.
- Stay up to date on the state-of-the-art in deep learning ideas and software.
- Implement cutting-edge deep learning models to accelerate model training time, improve performance, and tackle open problems.
- 5+ years of professional experience developing software for hardware products in a safety-critical field.
- Deep understanding of machine learning techniques and experience in developing software for hardware products in a safety-critical field.
- Expertise in deep learning, experience with Pytorch or Tensorflow, and a strong grasp of linear algebra, optimization, statistics, and algorithms.
- Passion for ML, both large scale engineering and research challenges, especially in the space of autonomous driving and/or robotics.
- Strong software engineering practices in Python with machine learning experience in a production setting.
The starting cash range for this role is $145,000 - $185,000. The total compensation package for this role may also include equity compensation, overtime pay, discretionary annual or performance bonuses, sales incentives, benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and more.
