As a Hazardous Materials Technician at Clean Harbors, you will be responsible for collecting, segregating, packing, and preparing hazardous waste for shipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Job Summary
  • This role requires a strong understanding of hazardous waste handling and management practices.

You will perform inspections of storage areas to ensure compliance with regulations and prepare necessary tracking paperwork. Additionally, you will collect and profile new waste streams, sample, and prepare waste chemicals for disposal.

About the Role
  • Prepares computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications;
  • Performs inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance;
  • Collects, segregates, and properly packages waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Samples and profiles of new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing;
  • Physically demanding position; Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
About You
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
  • Hazardous waste experience preferred;
  • Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record;

We estimate that the annual salary for this role in Santa Fe, NM to be around $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
