Business Operations Assistant

About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant to join our team at GFL Industries. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide critical support to our branch, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the branch, including report preparation, file maintenance, and coordination of training workshops.
- Maintain accurate records and files for area personnel and management.
- Submit timely and accurate payroll time sheets for area personnel.
- Understand Company safety policy and maintain safety records as required.
- Prepare and distribute reports as directed, including Fuel Reports and Commodity Reports.
- Process invoices and purchase orders for the area and assist with general ledger entries.
- Maintain contracts, bids, proposals, sales and marketing information in a fireproof cabinet.
- Distribute mail, facsimiles, and electronic transmissions, and type memos of correspondence as needed.
- Coordinate and organize training workshops and meetings within the area.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and company policies.
- Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2-year degree in business related field and 3 years' experience in an administrative capacity, or equivalent combination.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience with Tower, JD Edwards, and AS400 preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Type 50 WPM.
