As an Instructional Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting the education program by working closely with the Regional Manager to plan, coordinate, and implement educational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching and mentoring to classroom teachers and home visitors to support students' learning and teacher practices.
- Professional Development: Focus on individual and group professional learning that will expand and refine teachers' understanding of the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, School Readiness Goals, TPOT, CLASS, and the Creative Curriculum.
- Observation and Feedback: Observe classrooms and/or home visits for child-teacher interactions using prescribed tools and provide supportive and constructive feedback.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete required documentation of relevant activities and progress and submit records and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate and ensure quality communication between education staff, mental health staff, and supervisors.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or a related field with the equivalent of a major in early childhood education/child development.
- Experience: Three (3) years experience in Head Start teaching/teaching preschool children.
- Skills: CLASS and CSEFEL-T-POT reliability, ability to maintain confidentiality and code of ethics, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
