Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Burns & McDonnell. As a key member of our electrical engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical protection and control systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical protection and control systems for substation projects
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of other engineers and designers
  • Prepare engineering cost and labor estimates and schedules
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program
  • 7 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC fundamentals, including understanding of three-phase power systems
  • Familiarity with microprocessor-based protection and control systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
