Job Description

Northern Manufacturing Co., a global leader in stainless steel fabrication, is seeking an experienced Industrial Equipment Repair Specialist to join their Maintenance team.

  • This role will focus on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support the company's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor and team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance and installation tasks.
  • Work closely with general laborers to guide mechanical assembly for customer projects, including gearboxes, motors, and other equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical problems, developing systems and procedures to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Respond promptly to plant equipment breakdowns, repairing or replacing defective parts as needed.
  • Minimize plant downtime by prioritizing emergency equipment repairs and maximizing productivity.
  • Perform ongoing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Maintain the facility and grounds, including outdoor tasks such as snow removal and equipment storage.
  • Fleet vehicle maintenance and daily safety checks are also essential responsibilities.

The physical demands of this role require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders, and reach with hands and arms.

  • Prior experience in a maintenance position within an industrial environment is preferred.
  • Experience with high and low voltage electricity in an industrial setting is also desirable.
  • Excellent internal customer service and verbal/written communication skills are essential.
  • A motivated self-starter with a solution-focused approach to problems is required.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills are necessary to support coworkers across all departments.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively is crucial.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
