Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate chemical processes and equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Apply all plant safety rules, work guidelines, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Recommend and implement improvements and adjustments to processes, equipment, and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Update and maintain daily quality control data and process samples to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize computers for quality control, inventory control, transportation documents, and other processing purposes to streamline operations.
  • Provide physical labor where needed to support production goals.
  • Work changing shifts as needed to meet production demands.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all process areas, the laboratory, and equipment in a clean and operational condition.
  • Unload railcars, load tanker trucks, and prepare for shipment to ensure timely delivery.
  • Operate heavy equipment to support production needs.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment according to procedure and inventory as required.
  • Provide production support to all departments as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and apply improvements in processes, equipment, and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or GED, and significant mechanical and experience and aptitude.
  • Preferred 2 years of chemical manufacturing experience, and basic college coursework in subjects such as math, chemistry, and statistics.
  • The right individual has a 'can-do' attitude, the ability to be part of a team while operating independently, and consistently performs to very high standards.
