Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for examinations by checking equipment, reviewing physician orders, and inputting patient information.
  • Position patients, apply medical gels and electrodes, and connect and adjust equipment to ensure accurate imaging.
  • Produce high-quality images by accurately positioning transducers, monitoring displays, and detecting artifacts that mimic abnormalities.
  • Record examination details and graphics, producing measurements of heart wall, chamber size, and blood flow direction and velocity.
  • Observe all safety policies and protocols for patient protection and maintain patient confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • At least six months of experience in cardiac sonography or a related field.
