  • Provide attentive care to students, including assisting with feeding, dressing, and other essential needs.
  • Effectively manage classroom dynamics, guiding interactions and resolving conflicts constructively.
  • Serve as a positive role model for young children, demonstrating respectful behavior and fostering a sense of community.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment that promotes exploration and discovery.
  • Collaborate with parents to gain insights into students' home lives and share updates on their progress.
  • Track student development and provide regular feedback to parents regarding their child's growth and achievements.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential for effective communication with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Possess a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent early childhood education certification.
  • Successfully complete the required DCF Child Care Introductory training program.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with toddlers and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Experience in implementing Creative Curriculum and Teachstone CLASS is highly valued.
  • Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening.
