About the Position

Coghlin Companies is seeking an experienced Soldering Technician III to join our team. In this role, you will assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount and through-hole devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble PCBs using visual aids and customer documentation.
  • Remove and replace complex SMT devices.
  • Perform ECO wiring and etch cuts.
  • Troubleshoot and touch up complex SMT devices.
  • Remove and replace through-hole devices.
  • Repair basic pad and track issues.
  • Hand-solder through-hole devices and wires.
  • Troubleshoot and touch up solder joints after wave soldering.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience soldering to IPC standards.
  • Training in IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC7711/7722 certifications preferred.
  • Proven ability to read drawings and BOMs and follow instructions.
  • Demonstrated abilities with both RoHS (lead free) and standard solder.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.

Working Conditions

This role requires regular standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms. You must also be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
