Job Description

At The Boeing Company, we are committed to innovation and collaboration to make the world a better place. Our team is seeking a skilled Microelectronics Test Engineer to join our Solid-State Electronics Development organization (SSED) in Tukwila, WA.

SSED is a global research and development team that creates and implements innovative technologies for aerospace systems. As a Microelectronics Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, designing test fixtures, and conducting electrical testing and performance characterization of integrated circuits (ICs) and microelectronics systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products
  • Develop detailed designs of limited scope and conduct various methods of testing and analysis to support design
  • Gather data for technical performance measures and perform basic analysis
  • Provide basic engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product
  • Conduct trade studies and literature research to support future product designs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience with the test of integrated circuits
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing high-performance microelectronics test equipment (power supply, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, prober, etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience in printed circuit board fabrication, test, and validation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Python and FPGA firmware development
  • Experience developing and implementing automated test strategies
  • Experience with characterization and test of microelectronics for extreme environments (cryogenic and high temp, radiation, etc.)

We offer a competitive salary range of $104,550 – $141,450 for Mid-Level and $126,650 – $171,350 for Senior, depending on experience and qualifications. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.
