About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinician to join our Crisis Response and Stabilization Team (CReST) at Richmond Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA). As a Clinician, you will play a critical role in providing emergency, counseling, and intensive case management services to individuals and families in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct emergency supports and short-term crisis counseling services to adults, children, adolescents, and families presenting with significant emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Determine immediate, short, and long-term service needs of individuals and families, conducting thorough evaluations and preparing comprehensive assessments.
  • Develop and implement crisis response plans for individuals and families served through the CReST program.
  • Refer and ensure linkage of individuals and families to other needed services and community resources.
  • Coordinate individual care with family and other applicable service providers.
  • Conduct home visits, and school and other community site visits as required and/or permitted.
  • Monitor, document, and report on individual and family treatment progress.
  • Prepare, document in, and fully maintain the electronic health records (EHR) of assigned CReST cases.
  • Collect and enter required individual consumer data and submit reports on individual consumer progress.
  • Positively communicate and maintain good working relationships with community partners.
  • Actively participate in all required trainings and meetings with CReST team members, supervisors, and clinical staff.
  • Maintain CReST caseload as required.
  • May serve in the role of a Certified Pre-Screener, when applicable.
Requirements
  • Master's degree with coursework in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field and moderate experience working with clients with behavioral health disorders and/or developmental disabilities in a behavioral healthcare setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Current Virginia license as an LCSW, LPC, LCP, or License-Eligible/License-Eligible within 90 days of hire.
  • Clinic and community-based work required.
  • Travel required; must possess valid driver's license.
