Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Registered Nurse to join our team in Gynecologic Oncology. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, lead clinical activities, and contribute to the development of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional direct patient nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those with complex needs.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities, including leading department clinical activities, assessing department needs, and serving as a clinical resource for staff.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to develop and implement effective patient teaching strategies and improve patient satisfaction.
  • Identify areas for practice improvement and contribute to the development of service line and clinical standards and guidelines.
  • Participate in initiatives to improve quality and safety scores, and role model situational awareness and teachable moments to improve safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing, or Associate's degree with an additional two years of nursing experience.
  • Three years of nursing experience, with one year in specialty preferred.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days, and BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
