Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Oncology Consultants. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our oncology department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with various types of cancer.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform physical exams, obtain medical histories, and order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Administer medications and injections, and perform office procedures within the scope of expertise.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on health maintenance, illness prevention, and treatment options.
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay current with the latest advancements in oncology care.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
  • Successful completion of an approved Acute Care nurse practitioner program.
  • Acute Care certification required.
  • Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year in an oncology department or clinic.
  • Licensed PA and currently licensed as a registered nurse.
