Role Description
The Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research at Harvard University is seeking a PhD-level Clinical Research Statistician to contribute to significant research initiatives.
Project Focus:
This role is centered around the Advancing Clinical Therapeutics Globally for HIV/AIDS and Other Infections initiative, a prominent NIH-funded collaborative network dedicated to the advancement of treatment and research in HIV and related health issues.
The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse team of statisticians, epidemiologists, and research professionals engaged in the design, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of various clinical trials and observational studies.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate leadership potential in projects related to infectious diseases and possess the ability to:
1. Collaborate effectively within teams to design and execute clinical trials and observational studies.
2. Provide statistical guidance and lead statistical efforts, including mentoring junior staff.
3. Develop an independent research agenda focused on HIV and infectious disease studies.
Essential Qualifications
Doctoral degree in biostatistics or a related discipline. New doctoral graduates are encouraged to apply for the Research Associate position, while the Research Scientist role requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience post-doctorate.
Applicants should exhibit a strong capacity for collaborative and methodological research, alongside the ability to work autonomously in the design, execution, and analysis of clinical trials and observational studies.
Strong quantitative skills, effective communication abilities, and a keen interest in leadership roles are essential. Experience with statistical software and multi-center clinical trials is advantageous.Application Instructions
