Job Description

Job Title: Principal Program Quality Engineer

Location: Tewksbury, MA or Andover, MA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Program Quality Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) team, you will be responsible for promoting and executing a strong quality mindset, practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts
  • Ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs
  • Interface with U.S. Government Customers, Foreign Customers, Suppliers, and our internal Raytheon Quality team
  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will closely affect the programs' implementation and influence
  • Responsible for improving processes or systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills
  • Assure inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget
  • Monitor/lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA
  • Generate new Cost of Quality (CoQ), CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence), CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs on the program
  • Support issue resolutions and solutions to production and Radar execution

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ)
  • Value Management System (EVMS)
  • with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management process
