Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Correction Clerk to join our team at the County of Delaware, OH. As a Correction Clerk, you will be responsible for managing documents, reviewing inmate files, and conducting various screenings and classification interviews with inmates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all documents from courts and law enforcement agencies
  • Review and modify inmate files for accuracy
  • Conduct one-on-one screenings and classification interviews with inmates
  • Receive, schedule, and maintain inmate visitation schedules
  • Evaluate and assess the risks of new inmates
  • Interpret and apply court orders and state codes
  • Compute jail time from sentencing
  • Conduct criminal history and wanted checks
  • Review and analyze inmate records
  • Verify, prepare, and distribute legal documents
  • Consult and coordinate with law enforcement agencies and attorneys
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License
  • Clean criminal record
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
