Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Charter Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides homemaking and personal care services to clients, helping them remain in their place of residence. The CNA will provide hands-on personal care, as specified in the Care/Service Plan, and assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, and feeding.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide light housekeeping and maintain the home in an optimum state of cleanliness and safety.
  • Provide companionship and socialization to clients, including spending time with them, playing games, and accompanying trips and outings.
  • Assist clients with transferring and lifting, raising them in beds, and turning them.
  • Obtain vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and urine samples, as needed.
  • Transport, escort, or accompany clients to appointments, entertainment, exercise, recreation, shopping, or social activities.
  • Prepare meals and assist with home management, including meal planning, shopping, budgeting, and bill paying.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and report any unusual incidents or changes in the client's behavior, condition, or circumstances to the Supervisor, immediately.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • NC Certified Nursing Assistant I.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Must have own transportation and valid motor vehicle insurance.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Able to lift a person weighing approximately 120 pounds or more.
  • TB Skin Test.
  • Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19 for some positions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience providing support services in a similar environment.
  • Caring attitude and genuine interest in people.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform a combination of sitting and standing for short and extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable working various shifts and willingness to be flexible.
  • Able to utilize basic electronic services to document patient care.

Charter Senior Living offers a competitive wage range of $15.00 - $20.00 hourly and company benefits.
