Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide homemaking and personal care services to our clients. The CNA will provide hands-on personal care to clients, per state regulations, under the direction and supervision of the Supervising Nurse.

The ideal candidate will have a caring attitude and genuine interest in people, with strong verbal and written communication skills. They will be able to perform a combination of sitting and standing for short and extended periods of time and be comfortable working various shifts.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide light housekeeping services to maintain the home in an optimum state of cleanliness and safety.
  • Provide companionship and socialization to the client, including spending time together, playing games, reading, watching TV, or accompanying trips and outings.
  • Provide hands-on personal care services, including bathing, grooming, feeding, continence care, and toileting, as specified in the Care/Service Plan.
  • Help clients with transferring and lifting, raising clients in beds, and turning clients.
  • Obtain vital signs on clients whose medical conditions warrant such monitoring.
  • Transport, escort, or accompany clients to places outside of the residence for appointments, entertainment, exercise, recreation, shopping, or social activities.
  • Meal preparation and home management, including meal planning, shopping, budgeting, and bill paying.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information relating to patients and complete other duties as directed within the scope of practice.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • NC Certified Nursing Assistant I.
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Have own transportation and valid motor vehicle insurance.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Able to lift a person weighing approximately 120 pounds or more.
  • TB Skin Test and Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19 for some positions.
