Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at UNC Rockingham Health Care. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the healthcare team in a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily living activities for or with residents/patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and privacy.
  • Transport residents/patients to designated areas within the facility, promoting mobility and independence.
  • Assist with bed linens, run errands, direct visitors, and answer telephones, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, as well as food and fluid intake and output, as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with residents/patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Adhere to infection control regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents/patients and staff.
  • Participate in annual Rehabilitation and Nursing competencies and complete 12 hours of in-service education annually, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
  • Respond promptly to call bells, alarms, or intercom systems, addressing residents'/patients' needs in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant Training program and listing with the Nurse Aide Registry with the Department of Facility Services.
  • Previous Nursing Assistant experience in a clinical specialty is desired.
