Culinary III Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary III to join our team at Marriott International. As a Culinary III, you will be responsible for advanced food production, food preparation, and a la carte line cooking according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced cooking procedures in the outlet kitchen, including sautéing, braising, wood fire grilling, frying, blanching, emulsifying, flat bread oven baking, poaching, and steaming.
  • Prepare and produce food according to recipe cards and established plate presentations.
  • Communicate timing with other stations to ensure all food is ready at the same time for each order.
  • Clean and organize walk-in coolers, food production areas, equipment, and general kitchen areas.
  • Perform according to HACCP, OSHA, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Able to work at each station in the kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience required.
  • Must have the ability to read and write in English.
  • Food Handler's Card may be required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels. The position also requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
