Construction Safety and Risk Management Lead

About the JobWe are seeking a highly skilled Construction Safety and Risk Management Lead to join our team at Menotti Enterprise LLC. As a leader in construction safety and risk management consulting, we provide comprehensive solutions for clients in the New York City Metropolitan area and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and ensure the safe execution of all activities on site by maintaining strict adherence to company safety policies and government-regulated policies.
- Independently stop work for a safety violation or behavior that can lead to a safety violation.
- Coordinate and schedule site activities to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
- Monitor project labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment, taking necessary actions to control costs and ensure quality.
- Attend and participate in project meetings, providing expert advice on safety and risk management.
- Supervise Assistant Superintendents, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
- Prepare and submit daily reports documenting job-site progress and conditions for payment requisition purposes.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and oversee adherence to Tool Box Talks.
- Be accountable for schedule input, cost, quality, and project profitability.
- Coordinate assigned work with different crafts, trades, subcontractors, and inspection staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A NYC DOB Superintendent License
- 30 Hour OSHA certification
- 40-Hour Site Safety Course Certificate of Completion
- 62-Hour SST Supervisor Card
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of related construction experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Engineering (preferred)
- 5 Years of Construction Safety Experience
You will also require:
- Strong understanding of project equipment and materials
- Strong understanding of Labor Regulations
- Broad knowledge of the construction industry, including equipment, labor, means & methods, codes, and standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong management, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, specifications, and drawings
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and basic Windows applications
