Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PTZ Camera Operator to join our team. As a PTZ Camera Operator, you will be responsible for operating PTZ Robotic Cameras for live event productions. You will set up, configure, and operate camera systems, ensuring high-quality video and audio output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Camera Operation: Serve as PTZ Robotic Cameras Operator for execution of live event productions.
  • Camera Setup and Configuration: Set up, configuration, operation, and facilitating support of all camera systems.
  • Camera Shading and Color Balancing: Responsible for shading, color balancing, & focusing of all cameras during events.
  • Camera Testing and Programming: Ensuring Robo Cameras are properly set up, tested, & programmed prior to events.
  • Collaboration with Director and Show Caller: Working closely with Director and Show Caller to set shots prior to, and during events.
  • Advanced Understanding of Audio/Video Standards and Equipment: Advanced understanding of current audio/video standards and equipment.
  • Following Show Flow: Using the run-of-show document as a guide to follow show flow.
  • Pre-Show Production Meetings: Attending pre-show production meetings with crew to review responsibilities.
  • Camera Setup and Operational Testing: Ensure set up and operational testing of all cameras is complete pre-show.
  • Executing Shots: Following the event content closely to execute with maximum quality and accuracy.
  • Recording Shot Scenes and Presets: Responsible for ensuring shot scenes and presets are recorded.
  • Providing Shots: Ability to quickly and efficiently provide shots, as requested.
  • Creating Demo Shots: Manage creating elements that include demo shots, as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 3 Years Experience: Minimum 3 years experience operating PTZ Robotic Camera systems, preferably for large or high profile events.
  • Live Event Experience: Experience in live event corporate settings, working with high level talent.
  • Strong Knowledge of Broadcast and Production Technology: Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology.
  • Thorough Understanding of Video Transport Standards: Thorough understanding of video transport standards.
  • Ability to Multitask and Adapt: Ability to multitask and adapt to rapid show-flow changes in a live and fluid environment.
  • Excellent Control Room Demeanor: Excellent control room demeanor, proven leadership skills, team-first attitude and the ability to handle pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to Interface with Technical and Creative Members: Ability to interface with both technical and creative members of the event production ecosystem.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, to both clients and technical staff.
  • Service-Oriented Approach: Ability to take a service-oriented approach to this position, with a desire to help clients achieve their best result.
  • Responsiveness to Queries: Responsiveness to queries a must, with updates and follow-through.

Pay is determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, experience, and the location where the work is being performed. For this role, our current hourly pay ranges for new hires in each geographic territory are:
