Position Overview: The Quality Control Inspector Lead will oversee the dimensional inspection of small machined plastic and metal components within the Quality Control department. This role requires expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) to interpret technical drawings accurately. The lead will also coordinate First Article Inspection (FAI) activities to ensure adherence to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential to the role, along with any additional responsibilities as assigned:
- Assign and manage inspection tasks (First Article, In-Process, and Final) among department staff
- Conduct precise dimensional inspections of small machined plastic and metal components
- Follow written guidelines and complete relevant inspection documentation
- Implement corrective actions by investigating and addressing areas for improvement
- Analyze non-conforming parts to determine root causes and facilitate problem resolution
- Oversee calibration activities through structured programs
- Complete necessary internal and customer-related documentation
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expertise in using inspection tools such as CMM and optical comparators
- Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems
- Experience in conducting internal audits
Qualifications:
- Background in Quality Assurance and Quality Control
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer specifications
- Experience in manufacturing and inspection processes
