Clinical Nurse Leader

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Leader to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
About the RoleThe Clinical Nurse Leader will serve as a clinical expert, ensuring continuity of care and facilitating interdisciplinary care planning. This role will also involve serving as a liaison among physicians, patients, and families, promoting adherence to evidence-based practices, and mentoring and coaching less experienced nurses.
Key Responsibilities- Flexible shifts: The Clinical Nurse Leader will work flexible hours based on patient care needs.
- Liaison with providers and patient/family: The nurse will act as a liaison among physicians, patients, and families, serving as a daily presence who can monitor patient health status and communicate needs across providers.
- Promoting adherence to evidence-based practice: The nurse will serve as a clinical expert who promotes adherence to evidence-based practice, ensuring that all evidence-based hospital initiatives are implemented at the bedside.
- Documenting provision of care: The Clinical Nurse Leader will work with nurses and doctors to ensure that the provision of all services included in CMS core measure are documented appropriately in patient charts.
- Coaching and mentoring: The Clinical Nurse Leader will serve as an informal mentor, coach, and educator for new and existing unit-based nurses.
The ideal candidate will have a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and a minimum of two years of diverse and well-rounded clinical experience. Prior management or supervisory experience is preferred.
The Clinical Nurse Leader will also possess effective verbal, electronic, and written communication skills, as well as computer proficiency. National certification in a nursing specialty is preferred.
