Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Business Services Coordinator, Training Program to join our team at MHS Physicians of Texas. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of patient business services, while also providing training and development opportunities for our staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete quality reviews and monitor for process improvement opportunities.
  • Calculate and track error rates for key elements, reporting to management as needed.
  • Participate in educational endeavors of the department, staying up-to-date on processes and systems.
  • Gather information and prepare operations reports, correcting errors to ensure accurate billing and developing staff schedules for optimal coverage.
  • Interact with staff at all levels to resolve issues and ensure effective communication.
  • Monitor assigned reports for data integrity and research/correct accounts as required.
  • Protect the financial integrity of the facility by ensuring accuracy of all functions performed by staff.
  • Participate in preparation and presentation of department staff meetings, education, and in-services.
  • Monitor, review, and resolve patient account issues on assigned reports.
  • Perform account analysis and trending.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all Patient Access customers, including physicians, care management, and ancillary departments.
  • Support HR processes, including coaching and mentoring of staff, handling performance issues, and interviewing and submitting hiring recommendations.
  • Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Promote individual professional growth and development, meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
  • Demonstrate commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of experience in a hospital or medical business office setting preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, proficient typing/keyboarding skills, and supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred.
