### Job Overview

As a Project Engineer for Kiewit's Mass Electric Transportation, you will play a pivotal role in leading health and safety initiatives, ensuring quality of reporting and workmanship, and overseeing engineering work to be completed in a professional and ethical manner.

### Key Responsibilities

**Field Engineering:**

* Review and understand project drawings and specifications, providing clear guidance to the project team on their requirements.
* Manage project direct labor cost performance tracking and projections, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
* Support project Work Plan development and implementation in field operations, focusing on productivity tracking and improvement efforts.
* Manage the project's document control system, including drawing revisions, RFIs, submittals, and as-builts.

**Office Engineering:**

* Train engineers in material takeoffs, basic engineering calculations, and technical drafting to support field operations.
* Review submittals and RFIs for technical accuracy and completeness, ensuring seamless communication with the project team.
* Negotiate, review, write, and execute agreements and contracts with vendors and subcontractors in a timely manner, effectively managing project risks.

### Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field of engineering or equivalent experience and education.
* At least 3 years of experience in the construction field, with a focus on light rail projects.
* Working knowledge of and ability to direct the operations of management systems, including CPM scheduling, unit man-hour performance, budget management, document control, change management, and subcontracts.
* Leadership and management experience, with strong communication (verbal and written) and planning and organization skills.
* Ability to travel and relocate as required, with a valid work authorization in the United States.
