Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Soliant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students who require speech and language therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting assessments and screenings of students with speech and language disorders.
  • Implement therapy plans and interventions as directed by the SLP, ensuring a comprehensive approach to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Document and track student progress, providing regular updates to the supervising SLP to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Contribute to the development of educational materials and resources for therapy sessions, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support students' communication needs in the classroom, promoting a unified approach to education.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1+ years of experience in speech therapy, preferably in an educational or clinical setting.
  • An Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field (Bachelors degree preferred).
  • Current SLPA licensure or certification in Texas is mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, building strong relationships with colleagues and students alike.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates.
  • The ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of students, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
