Speech Therapy Assistant for Schools

As a Speech Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to support the delivery of speech and language therapy services to students. Your role involves assisting with assessments, implementing therapy plans, and providing individual and group therapy sessions under the guidance of an SLP.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' lives while working as part of a dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to adapt to diverse needs, and have experience working with children in educational or clinical settings.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for assisting SLPs in conducting assessments and screenings of students with speech and language disorders, implementing therapy plans and interventions as directed, and providing direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
The role also involves collaborating with teachers and other school staff to support students' communication needs in the classroom. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for this position.
Requirements- An Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Current SLPA licensure or certification in Texas.
- Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A competitive hourly rate of approximately $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience.
