Key Responsibilities

The primary aim of this role is to construct, install, maintain, and repair mechanical, structural, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems in accordance with established codes and safety regulations. The technician will operate with a degree of autonomy, making informed decisions in the absence of direct supervision. Key duties include:

  • Supporting the Maintenance Leader, Planner/Scheduler, and shift leaders with scheduled tasks
  • Executing preventive maintenance as per schedule
  • Reporting equipment issues to supervisors
  • Demonstrating knowledge of structural, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Conducting repairs and projects safely and efficiently
  • Responding promptly to line calls with necessary tools
  • Assisting during operational disruptions as required
  • Basic welding skills are preferred but not mandatory
  • Adhering to safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in work areas
  • Participating in training to enhance skills in mechanical, electrical, PLC, machining, and welding
  • Collaborating effectively with team members
  • Reporting any workplace incidents immediately
  • Operating equipment only when properly trained and authorized
Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in machining and/or electrical fields
  • Strong attendance and performance record
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to work second or third shifts as required
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred two years of experience in a mechanical role within an industrial or manufacturing setting
