Job Summary

We're looking for a seasoned professional to lead our electrical supply chain and drive strategic initiatives that meet our production and cost objectives. As a Senior Manager, Commodity Management, Electrical & Power, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing, localization, and commodity strategies to support volume production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and lead team members in strategic planning, cost, and contract management
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing, localization, and commodity strategies
  • Engage and build relationships with executives and other stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for supplier selection and contract negotiations
  • Lead supplier contract negotiations to achieve cost savings and optimal terms
  • Conduct commodity-related spend analysis, supplier stratification, and market research to identify and deliver cost savings opportunities
  • Assess and manage supplier performance through business reviews and joint governance meetings
  • Develop a Management Operating System (MOS) and metrics to identify issues, adopt best practices, and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or Engineering; Master's preferred
  • 15 years in supply chain roles, including 5 years in management and leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with expertise in developing, negotiating, and managing complex supplier contracts
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and automated assembly processes; Six Sigma and LEAN Certification a plus
  • Proficient in writing/generating RFxs and leading teams through complex RFx projects
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
What We Offer

Mainspring Energy offers a competitive salary range of $150k-$185k, plus pre-IPO stock options and benefits. This position is on-site in Menlo Park, CA, and the salary will be adjusted based on the experience of the employee.
